Going from casually looking to actively searching

I'm gonna update this thing daily for awhile.

Nothing new with the girl from work. I'm gonna invite her to the bowling super-fun-times this Friday (created in Facebook). Maybe she'll say yes, maybe not. If she doesn't go, I'll try asking/inviting her to a couple more outings and then I'll let it go. I think that's the best since I took longer than (what I consider) normal to ask her to hang out the first time.

Enough about work tho.... Now I'm being active on Yahoo! Personals.

I've finally wrote one person and I have series of tabs open to other people that look attractive and so far seem interesting. I can't wait until tonight when I can spend more time reading the rest.

Here goes nothing.

Something a little new

I've been working on a different line and in a different building these past few monthes. This cute new girl started about 5 weeks back. So, after waiting a bit longer than I think I should have and after prodding from my co-workers, I asked her out for coffee. To my surprise, she said yes.

So we spent about 50 minutes talking about music, work, and other chit-chatty things. It was a good time overall. I didn't feel any connection but then again I'm rusty. I was myself for the most part so I think I did as well as I could have. I didn't get her number and in hind-sight I probably could have.

Oh well, I'll just have to try again. Ask her to hangout again. I'm trying to not think about it too much because I think I missed my window of opprotunity, but that's just my pessimism talking.

I'll just keep searching on Yahoo! Personals for awhile longer.

Nothing really new

Nothing of note has happened on the dating front. I've been knee-deep in a photo scanning project to help reduce clutter. It's added some mental clutter but I'll feel better when it's all done.

I've look at a few more profiles and I keep getting emails from Yahoo! about pontential matches. I just haven't initiated any conversations yet. Soon, after the weekend cabin-fest with the St. Cloud group, I'll start putting more effort into it.

Also, for laughs at work, I've been looking at Craigslist. It's becoming easier to tell the bots from the real posters.

It's a start

The goal of this blog is, to record for posterity, the comedy of errors that I'm sure will transpire from my foray into the world of online dating.

I've just spent an hour setting up my Yahoo! personals profile, looked thru some of the profiles and gotta wait 24 hours before my own profile get approved.

And now it's past my bedtime.

Stupid early morning job.
